Shoots...just the straight awesomeness of the most amazing Hawaiian curly grained Koa on the planet wrapped in a case designed with minimal bulk and maximum protection. Our Flowers design draws inspiration from the Aloha shirts woven throughout Hawaii's history. The design was done by Dale Hope, the main authority on Aloha Shirts...he literally wrote the book and we are lucky to be graced with his design.
The cases are a combination of hard plastic backer and soft TPU sides which will bounce when dropped...we don't recommend testing that although we're pretty sure you'll find out eventually. All this work to create a one of a kind reminder of the islands...The Islands are Calling.
A ton of work goes into getting you the perfect phone case...here's the rundown...I hand pick every piece of Koa for amazing grain patterns which I then hand sand, finish with water-based poly, laser cut, sip a beer, etch a design, apply ink and assemble. Like I said, pretty much ridiculousness...but it makes a super unique wood phone case.
We use only the finest sustainably harvested "curly" grained Koa wood from the Big Island of Hawaii. Koa only grows in Hawaii and was once reserved for royalty. It was used for the first surfboards, warrior's weapons and the outrigger sailing canoes that explored the Pacific.
two words...drunken sailers...that's what we are like in the shop...dropping and generally mistreating our phones. The case bouces when dropped (take my word for it) and protects nicely while being as thin as possible...cause who wants a brick in their pocket.
As a long time customer, these folks never let me down. Great, well made products, fast service, competitive pricing. Last order was a phone case for iPhone 13. Love it!!
The case looks amazing and would recommend to anyone
I love the coloring and the Hawaiian Island design is a reminder of my time with my husband on the Big Island. Thank you for a beautiful design, repurposing the wood responsibly, and a lasting memory reminder!
Great product and a great memory of our trip to Hawaii.
Tried other wood grain cases that were cheaper and felt plastic. Love the texture of the wood. The look and feel is far superior to alternatives.
