The leather is water resistant and has held up well to my surfing adventures but if you really want to spend time in the water, I'd recommend the Silicone. Each band comes with a butterfly closure style clasp.

Rubber strap

Got to Michigan super quick. Is great and so comfortable. I have an original leather strap from Pono and it was always a little uncomfortable on the bottom of my wrist by the clasp. This rubber one has definitely been upgraded and way more comfortable.they matched the clasp perfectly to the watch

Wrong size bands. 2 e-mails later, and no reply.

I searched the website for a replacement watchbands for my watch. I purchased (2) watchbands. When I received them they were too wide for the waterman style I have. I’ve e-mailed
[****] twice. Once on June 6th, and after waiting with no reply, I e-mailed again on June 11th. (Yesterday)
I sent attachments including a picture of my Pono watch alongside the purchased watchbands, and the order numbers for proof. Asking for a return label and info so I could order the correct size. I’m really surprised and disappointed that there seems to be no customer service.

Aloha Cindy, Sorry for the confusion and delay in getting back to you. The emails are never ending. The '24mm' bands are for the larger watches still in production. I don't make the smaller version anymore but was able to find you 2 bands floating around the shop. I just sent them via USPS. Hope that helps..

Christmas Surprise

I have been raving about this watch for a while as an islander living in the mainland and my wife surprised me with the waterman. Totally stoked! Incredible looking watch with the unique locking mechanism. Love it!

Ok product, no customer service

When they shipped in the band, one of the clasps is not working, and I have tried to get in contact with them. However, I have yet to receive an email responding of what to do for their malfunction. Super happy with my watch, but the band that I purchased from them afterwards Has let me down, and the lack of customer service has truly affected my opinion. The photo shows what it looks like as I am wearing it. The clasp will not stick.

Oh no...that's not how its supposed to go. Our contact form isn't working properly and I apologize for not getting the notes...I'm trying to fix it but it's more complicated than you'd think. I've got a new band on the way. Hope that helps.

Excellent watch

The watch itself is beautiful. Customer service is excellent. The butterfly clips on the bands are awful. Especially on the silicone band. It keeps coming open every time you bend your wrist. I originally bought mine with a leather band and they replaced it with the old buckle style band very quickly

The Waterman watch is great. No problem swimming and snorkeling and bodysurfing with it this year. I ordered a new silicone band to replace the leather one, it never arrived but when I ordered again it came in just a couple days. Cool and regional relevant design, it stands up along anything beside it, Citizen, Rolex, whatever. Thank you. Keep at it. Onward!

Replacement watch band leather

Exactly like the one I got 7 years ago, perfect.

A watchband is a watchband, but this is the right one.

It’s the same one as before, but that’s the point. The old one was an old one and a bit worse for wear, this is the same one, but a new one which is (again) the point. Mahalo for keeping them in stock.

Replacement watch band

Loved it! This is my everyday, and favorite watch. My wife got it for me for an anniversary years ago. I hated my original band had friends. Thanks to Pono I was able get my new band with a few days and wear my favorite watch again.

Wrong Size

My Surfrider is an older model and the band doesn’t fit. Brett said he would see if he can get one that does fit to me, but I have not had any updates since.

Leather band a bit too wide

The replacement for the original black silicon band is terrific. 5 stars. The brown leather replacement doesn’t fit as well as the silicone. It does have a really cool clasp. I stuck either the replacement black silicone band. Great value for the price!!!

Perfect band to update my watch!

My original band was still fine but I wanted to change the look of the watch. This was a perfect fit.

Poor Customer Service

I recently purchase a watch while on vacation in Hawaii in June 2024. When I returned home I decided to order another band for #20909! When I received it I did not realize it had green threading (my bad)! I sent an email on 7/9/24 to Brett@Ponowoodwork asking if I could exchange it? To date I have not heard a word back!!!! Very disappointing! I am very happy with the watch!

Quality & Care Always Reflected

I purchased the Waterman watch, along with an additional watch band for my husband as a “just because” gift. He does so much for myself and our furry four legged kids! Just a gesture of appreciation! Aside from this item, he, and I have purchased other items from Pono Woodworks, each arriving promptly, packaged in nice gift-able boxes; no worries that you will have to search for a box that looks better, or a box at all for that matter! Each shows the quality and care that Pono Woodworks puts into their products. While we do not live near the ocean, we ultimately want to purchase a surf board for our wall in our front room. Knowing that items are not mass produced makes the price worth it. It’s like its own masterpiece with whatever you decide to buy! You will be happy with any purchase from point of transaction through receipt, and of course, thereafter! We’ve never had to reach out afterwards for additional concerns, however I am certain, if that was to happen, the customer service would be just as outstanding as the experience we have had thus far!

I love my Pono watch, it has been going strong for several years now. When I ordered a replacement band through Pono website I ordered the wrong size. Brett got back to me right away and sent me the right size. Thanks Brett and Pono Woodworks.

Killer support

I bought the watch while in Hawaii for my wedding. I loved the look but the clasp that came with it, was awful. It would come apart all the time. I contacted support and they got back with me super fast, and I was able to get a normal style watch band with buckle, all out of silicone. I LOVE IT and wear the watch daily. And get all sorts of compliments. They get 5 stars because they actually CARED, and fixed my issue very promptly.

Missing Clasp

The clasp is missing on a new 24mm replacement watch band. Tried contacting company but still haven't heard back.
