No Good Deed Goes...

No good deed goes unpunished.  I didn't see this one coming...You'd think karma was a bit more reliable. During the start of the pandemic, we wanted to help out any way we could.  A friend is head of procurement for one of the Hospitals out here and since PPP couldn't be bought, they were looking to make it.  I jumped on it and offered my large laser to cut the foam for the forehead spacers on the plastic masks.  We cut a bunch and had things running smoothly until tragedy....the foam caught fire and burnt and ruined my laser. Fortunately : ), wholesale had tanked so I didn't need the large laser but it took over a year to get the parts and fix it.  I've got it back up and running now but what a nut shot.
